HONEYSUCKLE – living in the past
Sometimes used when we look back to the past, eg nostalgia. Could be a person or animal attached to lost loved ones and unable to get over past experiences, good or bad. Say bereavement. Seeing past things as being fantastic, whereas in reality this is not so.

Oak is for strength.
Sometimes the strength needed to carry on after a problem, family or work.
Oak people  tend to struggle on ignoring their own needs as they have a strong sense of duty.  For animals it could be an animal that at some stage has been abused, could be mentally,  and needs to find strength to continue.

WILLOW
Helps with a feeling of ‘poor me’  Could be  used for people feeling sorry for themselves.  For instance for people,  someone say who has had to  move into residential care or sheltered accommodation who feels they are being neglected and not getting the attention they deserve.  For an animal , if a new puppy is introduced into the household   the resident dog might feel it has been supplanted in its owner’s affection.   There could be jealousy too.

CHERRY PLUM
Useful when people think they might give way to violent emotions or impulses.
Useful in the case of someone who suffers from road rage! At times could be coupled say with someone easily angered.  For an animal sudden outbursts of temper – could be against another animal in the household.  However there would be underlying issues, eg jealousy,  so other remedies would be needed

STAR OF BETHLEHEM
This may look insignificant but in all the Bach Remedies this is one of the most important.  If I only had one remedy this is the one I would go for.
It’s often used for the after effect of shock, For people could be after say a road accident or for animals after a dog attack or similar.  Before going to the vet you could use this say on your dog’s lips.  It would also help you as the dog’s owner as you too would be in shock.

Remember
As said previously, your vet is always your first port of call when you are concerned about your animal(s) well-being.   It is essential to rule out any physical problems which might have a bearing on changes in behaviour.  That is why I work under veterinary referral. Bach Flowers work on the emotions and do not replace veterinary attention
